Band director Kent Chalmers on Thursday leads the Cashmere High School marching band down Front Street in Leavenworth. The Seattle media firm Von Piglet Productions is filming parts of the movie "Ira Finklestein's Christmas" in the Bavarian-themed town this week. The Cashmere marching band, as well as the Cashmere royal court and community float, joined a couple hundred extras for a day of filming in "Christmastown," Washington.
