The time has come to once again enjoy tourist status in our beautiful North Central Washington region. It is often challenging to schedule getting out to enjoy the beauty around us, from the demands on our time, to the inward duties we sign ourselves up for.
There are the days one feels more brave and confident to conquer all that comes their way. My family gone overnight, leaving me to my own devises of small personal choices, I looked forward to meeting up with a friend at the Leavenworth Farmers Market, listening to music, sipping blueberry lemonade, and dinner ordered with a creamy chicken, fresh basil crepe.
Choosing to go on the road again comes with a price, motorcycling for hobby or otherwise looks for ongoing funding. The gloves for different seasons, full fingered, or fingerless, full face helmets or partial, boots that are comfortable beyond looking chic, leathers in degrees of coverage, and many more considerations must be thought out. Decisions are made by determining the type of riding lifestyle you plan to acquire.
So personally, the harder part of choosing a motorcycle seems to be all the choices available, perhaps half the fun is learning about the many options.
Women riding motorcycles is nothing new yet is becoming recognized as an exciting recreation category expanding quickly. In many areas, especially here in North Central Washington regional rides provide us with our privilege to explore life. We plan to share our adventures here in this new column, “Women on Wheels”.
