"Barn in the USA" is the theme for the 2011 Chelan County Fair. Bruce Springsteen wears Wrangler jeans, doesn't he?
A theme is chosen. . . ."Barn in the USA" will be the 2011 Chelan County Fair theme. Work has already begun for next year's Fair with corrections to the Exhibitor Guide, the Blue Ribbon Fair program, Ambassador Applications, Concessionaire Applications and selection of a Volunteer of the Year.
New Board Directors have been elected and 2011 officers have been chosen. They are Liz Avey, President, Nathan Smeltzer, President-Elect, Rod Cool, Secretary and Skip Stover, Treasurer.
The Committees have been appointed and have already begun meeting.
So, before the 2010 Chelan County Fair is over preparation for the 2011 Chelan County Fair has already begun.
The 18 member Fair Board is looking for two committed individuals to fill the two open positions on their Board of Directors. Please go to chelancountyfair.com to see our current Board and feel free to contact any one of them with questions regarding Board duties.
In 2010 the Chelan County Fair had 550 volunteers who worked just over 1200 hours during the 4 day Fair event. Volunteers are always needed so call today 782-3232. The Volunteer Committee will be happy to talk with you regarding your areas of interest.
