CHS greenhouse students have worked hard to get their poinsettias ready for your house. These beautiful plants come in 6-inch pots with a bright foil sleeve, and they sell for only $6 each. Pick them up after school this week. Call the school office at 782-2914 for more information. Support your local FFA growers this holiday season!

Rusty Finch may be new to Cashmere, but he's certainly no stranger to the greenhouse. He has big plans for the annual spring sale at the high school this May!
Rusty Finch has some great ideas.
Finch joined the Cashmere High School FFA program after 13 years of service in Sumner in the same capacity. He is the FFA horticulture advisor in charge of the high school greenhouse, and he has some big plans for your garden this summer.
Too early to think about that, you say? Not in Finch's world.
In fact, he has already placed an order for starts for his spring sale. The starts will be received in the dead of winter, and under Finch's direction the horticulture students will work diligently planting and caring for them until the weather allows outdoor planting this spring.
Judging by the beautiful new cedar planters Finch has already procured, local gardeners can expect big things from the high school greenhouse this spring.
Granted, we have lots of winter to get through before we can even think about our spring gardens, but it sure is fun to get a glimpse of what's coming down the pike!
