CASHMERE, Wa. - Cashmere High School presents “Singin’ in the Rain” February 1 – 4 at the Cashmere Middle School Auditorium. 1920's Hollywood is the setting for this zany, light-hearted romantic comedy about the early days of sound film, when many a movie studio found itself scrambling to salvage the career of its chipmunk-voiced silent picture star.
Directed by Susan Gubsch, each unforgettable scene, song and dance from the movie, is accounted for, including ten big dance numbers, complete with an onstage rainstorm! Hilarious situations, snappy dialogue, and a hit-parade score of Hollywood standards make SINGIN' IN THE RAIN perfect for an evening of family entertainment.
Michael McCormick takes on the lead role of Don Lockwood. LariAnn Hixssen plays his love interest, Kathy Selden, and Alexander Robertson is his comedic side kick, Cosmo Brown. Ariana Rodriguez is Don’s co-star, Lina Lamont. Other cast members include: James Bauscher, Karley Blomquist, Hannah Capelo, Chris Clarke, Camille Collins, Erica Elias, Edwin Enciso, McKenzie Hemstrom, Morgan Hemstrom, Nona Isenhart, Giorgio Jimenez, Dani Kenoyer, Vanessa Keran, Ashlyn Lewis, Cody Lippert, Josh Lippert, Elly McManus, Samantha Morseman, Dennis Olguin, Nathan Sites and Megan Turner.
Show time is 7p.m. with the doors opening at 6:15. Tickets are $8 for adults or $5 for students and senior citizens. Tickets may be purchased in advance at the Cashmere High School Office or at the door.
