Fundraising continues for ride across America
Jacob Acheson
Jan. 13, 2012
Cyclist Jacob Acheson will ride this 3,267 mile route between Seattle and New York City.
Jacob and Whitney Acheson with their 3 year old daughter Riley.
I need to start training, pronto! And you can help! No, you don’t need to get a sweet bike and ride with me everyday, though that would be awesome.
You can pledge any amount of pennies per mile, per month I ride in preparation for my trip.
To make it easy we’ve separated this into 4 four week segments:
Feb. 13th – March 11th
March 12th – April 8th
April 9th – May 6th
May 7th – June 4th
You have the option of participating every month, two months or one month. At the end of each month I will post a picture of my bike computer (it’s an odometer, among other things) to the blog so you can see how many miles I rode that month.
My goal is 300 miles per month. It will be a combination of miles on a trainer (inside) and outside (once the weather improves).
If you’re ready to partner, get in touch with me!
Any money raised this way will help me cover equipment costs (shirts, shorts, helmet, gloves) and personal bills while I’m on my trip (house, utilities, food). Sorry, no tax deduction :(
Be warned! I might just go crazy and ride 500 miles in a month! Be prepared!
