Get your Fair food at the American Legion and Auxilliary booth

Be sure to check out the American Legion food booth when you get the munchies at the Chelan County Fair.

Cashmere American Legion Post and Auxiliary #64 have been selling their famous corn dogs and corn on the cob since the start of the Chelan County Fair in 1952. They were one of the original non-profit food booths and have been open every year but one.

Last year 5 bins of Quincy corn and almost 300 pounds of hot dogs made into corn dogs were consumed by lots of hungry fair goers.

The booth opens by 8 a.m. with coffee & fresh homemade cinnamon rolls made by Linda Henderson.

As it gets towards noon, they get the cookers heated up for mouth watering corn dogs. Also get a pop, an ear of corn, cotton candy and a fresh picked apple from the Chuck Fries Orchard in Monitor.

Members gather around a bin of corn and have a lot of fun shucking. Stop by if you would like to shuck for awhile.

Profits are used to support veterans, children and youth, as well as our community.

They are always looking for new members, so please ask for an application and they will gladly provide one.

SEE YOU AT THE FAIR!
