LOL! Cashmere High School Drama Department presents "Rumors"

I ran into Cody Lippert on the street a few weeks ago and asked him how his junior year in high school was going. You may remember that he was nominated last year for “Outstanding Actor in a Featured Ensemble Role” by three adjudicators visiting from Seattle’s 5th Avenue Theatre. Not surprisingly, his response primarily covered his upcoming performance as Glenn Cooper in Rumors. He said it was going to be a really funny production.
I don’t know about you, but to me, when Cody Lippert says a Cashmere High School drama production is going to be “really funny,” we should take note. Adding to that endorsement is the fact that Susan Gubsch is directing. That’s “award-winning Susan Gubsch,” thank-you-very-much.
Here’s the official submitted press release:
“The Cashmere High School Drama Department will be performing Neil Simon’s comedic farce Rumors. When Ken and Chris Gorman arrive for their friends’ 10th wedding anniversary celebration, they find the host has been shot and his wife and servants are missing. Mayhem ensues as they try to hide these facts from the other guests who begin to arrive. Their antics lead to hilarious situations and conversations.
This comedy, directed by Susan Gubsch, will take place on October 27th and 29th in the Cashmere Middle School Auditorium at 7:00 p.m. There will also be a 2:00 p.m. matinee performance on Friday, October 28th. The ticket price is $5 for adults and $3 for students and senior citizens. Tickets may be purchased at the door. Don’t miss this laugh out loud show!
Cast members, in order of appearance, are Karley Blomquist as Chris Gorman, Michael McCormick as Ken Gorman, Hannah Capelo as Claire Ganz, Alexander Robertson as Lenny Ganz, Elijah Miller as Ernie Cusack, Erica Elias as Cookie Cusack, Cody Lippert as Glenn Cooper, Ariana Rodriguez as Cassie Cooper, Nona Isenhart as Officer Welch and Shelby Simonson as Officer Pudney.“
I think it’s safe to say that you want to make plans to attend this limited performance. The award winning Cashmere High Drama Department has definitely earned the label “must see live theater!”
