Back for the second year is the Passport to Cashmere!
On Dec. 10, visit 10 businesses in Cashmere, from retailers and restaurants to tasting rooms and convenience stores, and have each business stamp or sign your passport. When you're done, turn the passport in at the Chamber office, 101 Cottage Ave., and you are in the running for a host of prizes, including a $200 gift certificate to Martin's Market Place. Watch for a list of prizes next week!
This year, passports can be picked up at Studebaker's diner or Apple Annie's Antique Mall, 100 Apple Annie Ave.; The Best Bite, 201 S. Division; Country Boys Barbecue, 400 Aplets Way; Cashmere Cider Mill, 5420 Woodring Canyon Road; Carniceria El Amigo, 5655 Sunset Highway; and SnapDragon Coffee, 207 Mission Ave.
After the passport, Santa arrives in Cashmere at 5:30 p.m. at downtown's Ardeta Park. Joining him will be the 2011 Cashmere Royalty. Bring the kids downtown to meet Santa, listen to some Christmas carols from the high school choir and enjoy some hot cocoa and cookies. The park will be lit up for the holidays, thanks to the efforts of Brian Cockrum, owner of Mojo's restaurant.
