The Millersburg Post office is ”This Place Matters”.

It is the original Millersburg Trading Post built near the confluence of the Wenatchee River and Columbia Rivers, which is now the North end of Miller Avenue, in Wenatchee, WA.

Built in 1871. Although it has been renovated it is one of the oldest existing buildings.

Moved to the Pioneer Village in 1975. It is now located 200 ft from Hwy 2 across from Apple Annie Antique Gallery.

Inside are mailboxes from the Mission Post Office and antiques from other times.

The group pictured are Millersburg Seekers, formed in March of 2011 and are the qualifying chapter for Washington State to become a chartered state with International Questers. They have adopted the cabin for semi-annual clean up and grounds keepers.

The group has preservation and restoration of public buildings as their goal. They meet 9 times a year to follow the member’s interests.

Their next meeting will be Feb. 24, 2012 and will have a speaker on Wenatchee Historic homes.

Call Florence Robinson 509-663-1570 for more information. Guests welcome.
